Does my teen need to be with me to sign up?
No, but you will need to know your Teen’s birthday, Teen’s email address if it’s different from yours, and your Teen’s social security number to purchase the Visa Buxx Card.
How old does my teen need to be to have a Visa Buxx Card?
Your child needs to be at least 13 years old to get a Visa Buxx Card.
What will I need next to continue enrollment?
You must have the Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card information you wish to pay with in order to complete enrollment.
Can I pay for the Visa Buxx Card with my checking or savings account?
Yes, you can, as long as it is a U.S. Bank checking or savings account. Once we receive your completed request it will take approximately 5 to 8 days to verify your account. You should receive your Card in approximately 12 days.
Can I pay for the Visa Buxx Card with an American Express or Discover Card?
No. The accepted method of payment for a Visa Buxx Card is either a Visa or MasterCard.
What is the 3-digit code?
The 3-digit code is a number located on the back of your credit or debit card. Below the magnetic strip, or near the signature panel, you’ll see a series of numbers. The last 3 numbers are your 3-digit code. If your U.S. Bank Card doe not have the 3-digit code please call 800-USBANKS and request a card replacement. You new card will include the 3-digit code and arrive within two to five days.
When will the funds be available on my Teen’s Card?
When funding from a credi or debit card, the funds are available immediately. Initial transfers from checking or savings accounts take 5 to 8 business days to process.
What are the fees associated with the Visa Buxx Card?
Fees are lower when you use a U.S. Bank check card, credit card, or checking account to fund your Buxx Card.

Why do I need to provide my Teen’s social security number?
Your Teen will need to use their social security number when signing onto the Web site for the first time or if they ever need assistance with their account. The social security number must be accurate in order to ensure account access.
Why do I need a username?
You will need a username and password to log into the Visa Buxx Web site. This username is should be easy to remember and will be unique to you. Your username must be between 6 and 20 characters and may not include blank spaces.

The password helps to ensure that only you have access to your account. Your password and username will be needed to log into the Visa Buxx Web site. Your password should be easy for you to remember, but difficult for others to guess. Please note that your password must be between 6 and 20 characters and may not include blank spaces.
What is the importance of a security question?
If you forget your username and/or password, the security question and answer will help validate who you are when using the login help function.
Why do you need my social security number?
Your social security number is used to help verify your identity should you ever need assistance with your account. The social security number must be accurate in order to ensure account access.
Why do you need to know my birth date?
Should you ever forget your username or password, you will be asked your birth date as a verification measure.
Can I set up an allowance schedule for my Teen?
Yes. Once you have completed enrollment, you will have the option to set up an allowance schedule to add money to your Teen’s Card on a regular basis.
